Training tables come in rectangular (the most common), trapezoidal (angled sides for collaborative pods and chevron rows), and half-round (for end caps on U-shapes or stage-front presentations). Rectangular tables are the default for most classroom rooms, while trapezoidal and half-round shapes are popular in active learning environments.

Our standard modular flip-top training tables come in depths of 400mm, 500mm, and 600mm. Typical lengths are 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm, and 1800mm, with a height of 750mm.

A flip-top training table has a hinged surface that pivots 90 degrees up to a vertical position on the frame - unlike a folding table where the top folds in half. This vertical position enables nesting: frames roll under each other so you can store a dozen tables in a fraction of the space. Flip-tops are also more structurally rigid than folding tables and better suited to daily repositioning. 

For classroom-style rows, stack chairs are the most space-efficient pairing - they're easy to transport, store vertically, and hold up to constant repositioning. Task chairs with casters work well for tech-focused training rooms where participants stay at their seats for extended periods.

Nesting works by flipping the tabletop 90 degrees to a vertical position and engaging a special set of nesting casters on the frame. When you push the tables together, each table’s base rolls under the tabletop of the next one, stacking them in a very compact footprint. The key is that both the caster position and the flip-top mechanism are designed together to create that tight nest. 

Training tables are built to move, fold, and reconfigure - they're lightweight, typically on casters, and designed to nest away when the room needs to flex into a different layout. Conference tables are permanent fixtures built for presence and formality in a dedicated room. If your space hosts different group sizes or multiple event types throughout the week, training tables are almost always the smarter choice.

The two most popular sizes are 1200*500*750mm, 1400*500*750mm. Flip-top training tables can also be customized to be longer or wider.

A nesting training table combines a flip-top mechanism with casters so that when the tops are folded up, the tables link together and roll as a single stack to a storage closet or corner - you can move a full room's worth of tables with one person. 

Training table pu silent casters are usually mounted on the front legs so you can tip the table back and roll it without dragging - once it's in position, you lock all the wheels to keep it from shifting during use.
